Creative Workshop: 3D Printing
Originating in the 1980s, 3D printing was initially an idea to expedite the development of industrial products through faster prototyping.
Today, students at ISCA are able to explore the exciting and creative possibilities that 3D Printing presents. Handy Dan from Handy Dan’s 3D Prints led the workshop once again, guiding students on how to use a 3D printer. They learned to navigate 3D printing software, unveiling new methods to integrate technology into their future projects.
The applications of 3D printing are ever-expanding, for example, making prosthetics in the medical industry, or developing prototypes for consumer electronics. In the art world, 3D printing has gained popularity among jewelers, as designers can create intricately complex products. In our workshop, students had the opportunity to design and print their own jewelry, models and characters.
