Pre A Level Programme
Creative Arts Programme (CAP) Level 2
CAP offers students aged 15 a unique opportunity to experience excellent UK art and design teaching. Students are able to develop their understanding of art and design through engagement with the work of artists and designers, materials, processes and techniques. Solid foundation skills are taught across a range of specialist art and design areas and students complete work that can lead to a qualification for the Level 2 Cambridge Technicals.
A Level Programme
ISCA offers a two year programme of study focused on the visual arts, which equips students with the key transferable skills needed to progress to leading higher education institutes.
Portfolio Programme
This programme is available to students who join ISCA directly in Year 2. They already have the academic qualification needed for university but lack the body of art work required to access undergraduate study in the creative arts.
Access to Central Saint Martins (CSM)
All students on our A Level and Portfolio Preparation courses have the chance to spend part of their time studying at Central Saint Martins on the Creative Practice Programme.
Foundation Diploma in Art, Design and Media
ISCA offers a Foundation Diploma in Art, Design and Media to students who join ISCA on the Portfolio Programme or Year 2 of the A level course. This not only is more cost effective but also saves students an additional year of study and related living expenses as they complete both programmes within one year. Gaining two qualifications, A Level and a Foundation Diploma will increase a student's prospects of progressing to a wider range of competitive universities. It will give students more in-depth knowledge of their specialist subject. Students will have access to the Central Saint Martin’s Creative Practice Programme which runs from September to the end of January.
Summer Programme
CAP Summer School
The overarching theme of the CAP Summer School is Creative DNA, which takes students to the very heart of art and design learning. This intensive two-week programme of fashion, art and design study introduces young aspiring designers to the creative arts and the development of an exciting portfolio of work. This is delivered through a series of specialist workshops focusing on the realisation of experimental concepts across a broad range of creative subjects.
